Biden's stutter excessively reported, Trump's nonstop lies during debate underreported
Supreme Court votes 6-3 for United States to have a king
After the 6-3 vote to drop one charge against former cop/Capitol rioter Joseph Fischer, I wasn’t particularly surprised by the Supreme Court’s take on presidential immunity (i.e. become rogue kings and hide it behind being a president).
And with Trump’s ability to stall all of his other cases — minus the $83.3 million defamation award for E. Jean Carroll and his felony conviction for all 34 charges in a scheme to illegally influence the 2016 election — I didn’t have much faith in the Supreme Court using common sense to confirm the United States is not a monarchy.
So now it’s up to voters to keep this man out of the White House. As a former Toastmasters president and vice president of education, I would have plenty of Ah Master/Grammarian and Evaluator notes for Biden’s debate. But I’m far more interested in his actions and actual laws versus him wowing me like this is a competition for best public speaker.

News media (who is salivating over the opportunity to have clickbait material for four years again) should have been covering all of the topics that Trump skipped over or unapologetically lied about during the debate. Instead, a number of well-known outlets have been acting like mean girls and bickering with Vice President Kamala Harris about a 90-minute debate versus her boss’s four years as a president and eight years as a vice president. I unsubscribed from my go-tos because these debate snarks are almost as infuriating as the “Hillary’s emails” waste-of-space posts. Do better!
“I’m not going to spend all night with you talking about the last 90 minutes when I’ve been watching the last three-and-a-half years of performance.”

What News Outlets SHOULD Be Focusing On Regarding Trump’s Answers
Please refer to timestamps for this countdown.
5:13 ~ The Economy ~ Trump claimed we had the “greatest economy in the history of our country.” Meanwhile, in the early months of the coronavirus crisis, tens of millions of people lost their jobs. Unemployment also remained high throughout 2020. Additionally, approximately 90,000 restaurants shut down, which resulted in 5.9 million workers out of a job.
14:06 ~ Roe v. Wade ~ Trump said “everybody” wanted to get abortion laws back to the states “without exception.” Never mind that Roe v. Wade had been just fine since 1973. Democrats and Liberals were NEVER harping on overturning Roe v. Wade; Republicans and conservatives were. Abortion has been on the ballot in seven states since the Supreme Court became the Vagina Police. In each instance, in red states and blue states (Ohio, California, Kentucky, Michigan, Montana, Vermont, Kansas), anti-abortion advocates have lost.

“The idea that states are able to do this is a little like saying we’re going to turn civil rights back to the states.”
-President Joe Biden challenges Trump’s support of overturning Roe v. Wade
18:53 ~ Late-Term Abortion ~ Trump accused Biden of wanting to kill babies in the ninth month of pregnancy and “ripping the baby out.” The truth from that 1973 Roe vs. Wade case was the following: “During the third trimester, the state may regulate or prohibit abortion to promote its interest in the potential life of the fetus, except where abortion is necessary to preserve the woman's life or health.”
21:54 ~ Mexico and Mental Health ~ Trump went on at length about criminals and people from mental institutions being allowed into the U.S. Meanwhile, Chicago’s Cook County Jail (where I was born and raised) is the “biggest single-site jail in the United States. It’s also one of the biggest mental health care providers in the country.” In a typical year, one in five U.S. adults nationwide are living with a mental illness; only half received mental health services from 2020 to 2021. And during Trump’s presidency, after spending an unbearable amount of time complaining about former President Barack H. Obama, he did absolutely nothing to improve mental health conditions so people weren’t put into prisons instead of funding mental health. He has zero room to speak on health topics — at all.

27:10 ~ Veterans ~ Trump claimed he never referred to some veterans as “suckers and losers.” This is the same guy who dismissed former presidential candidate John McCain as “not a war hero … I like people who weren’t captured.” While I never use Wikipedia as a source, every last one of these Trump nicknames is true. Is it really hard to believe that he’d refer to someone as a sucker or a loser? This is the same guy who claimed to receive a 2016 award from military veterans that didn’t exist.
30:21 ~ Iran + Gaza ~ Trump said wars and terrorist attacks weren’t happening in the rest of the world because they “had no money for terror.” It’s as if he’s never heard of suicide bombers like the one at New York Port Authority Bus Terminal in 2017. (Does he think this kind of incident only ever happened on September 11, 2001 and everybody lost interest?) He also seems to be unaware that the entire reason some terrorists strike out against enemies is because of extreme poverty. And while he rambled on about Iran being “broke,” the truth is Iran has been a consistent financial and military patron of Hamas since the 1990s, long before the latter group achieved control of Gaza.
32:18 ~ Volodymyr Zelenskyy ~ Trump claimed Volodymyr Zelenskyy was “the greatest salesman ever,” as if these weapons against Russia are going in glass frames of his living room instead of a response to 70,000 killed and up to 120,000 wounded in a war Vladimir Putin started.
35:53 ~ Hamas ~ Trump completely ignored Biden’s full plan to stop the war in Gaza and changed the subject back to discussing Ukraine. When pushed to answer how he’d handle Hamas and the war in Gaza — after describing Biden as a “bad Palestinian” — his response to Palestinians having an independent nation: “I’d have to see.”

40:40 ~ January 6 ~ After instigating his supporters to go to the Capitol to fight for a (not even slightly true) “stolen” election and fighting Secret Service, who would not allow him to attend, he claimed he “offered 10,000 soldiers or a National Guard.” If you have heard White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony during the Select House Committee hearings, you already know Trump’s “actions” were really throwing ketchup-filled dishes and yanking tablecloths like a toddler — nothing more.
Trump has no clue what’s going on outside of praising Putin, brands of miniature ketchup bottles, McDonald’s meals and complaining about the Mexican border. He’s immune from intelligence. I cannot think of a worse choice than him (other than Stephen Bannon, who went to prison today). And these are the topics I wish mainstream news stations like CNN, CBS and the rest of these outlets would actually discuss. This is what we’re voting for in November, not who the best orator is.
