Taylor Swift, is there no loyalty left?
Travis Kelce stopped getting fades and has now turned into Ted Cruz

I left Twitter three years ago, but there was this tweet that I would randomly revisit because I thought it was hilarious. I’m paraphrasing here, but it was from a father who said his daughter got in the car and pointed out a girl she didn’t like. The father asked why his daughter didn’t like the girl, and she mentioned that the other girl had called her name. The tweet ended by saying something to the effect of, “Now I have beef with a 4-year-old. I don’t make the rules.”
That about sums up my relationship with every single family member and friend who I’m tight with. There’s a 99% chance I’m riding for them. I recall a family friend and a cousin making a slick comment about another relative, who I am much closer with. I let the cousin know that the comment should’ve never been made, and we’ve been distant ever since. Then, I reminded the family friend that no matter how cool he thinks he is with the family, he’s not blood. And I haven’t spoken to him at all in about four years. People get a little too comfortable, thinking they can be disrespectful without considering the consequences.
I am usually the equivalent of the aforementioned father. We’re both turning our nose up at the 4-year-old, and that’s that! The only exception to this rule is if I’m equally cool with both people. I had two childhood friends who hated each other, but one was especially disgusted by the other. When an event came up where I wanted both of them to show up, I had to pull the more vocal one to the side and ask her to just coexist for a weekend.
The two didn’t have to be BFFs, but at the very least, coexist. And it worked! I don’t think they said more than one word to each other, but both mixed and mingled with the rest of my family. I never had to pick a side. Same rules apply with family members who I’m equally cool with. I don’t want to choose, so don’t make me. But if somebody outside of that circle gets too slick at the mouth, there is absolutely positively no way in the world I’ll brush that aside. Strangers? Guaranteed mutual beef!

As an Amazon affiliate, I earn a percentage from purchases with my referral links. I know some consumers are choosing to boycott Amazon for its DEI removal. However, after thinking about this thoroughly, I want to continue promoting cool products from small businesses, women-owned businesses and (specifically) Black-owned businesses who still feature their items on Amazon. As of the first date of Black History Month 2025, each new post will ALWAYS include a MINIMUM of one product sold by a Black-owned business. (I have visited the seller’s official site to verify that Amazon Black-owned logo.) I am (slowly) doing this with older, popular posts too. If you still choose to boycott, I 100% respect that decision.

Travis Kelce, learn Boyfriend 101
My mind is blown by Travis Kelce saying that it would be an “honor” and it’s “awesome” that Trump is showing up to the Superbowl. I don’t follow pop culture that heavily, but as far as I’m aware, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are still together. And we’re all well aware of Trump’s response to her support for former Vice President Kamala Harris — and the 11,482,648 likes that resulted from it. Trump pulled out his best mean girl with the status update: “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
All I could think was, “As careful as he was with his responses about Kayla Nicole on ‘The Pivot Podcast,’ why on Earth isn’t he being this courteous to Taylor Swift too?” Is loyalty no longer a thing? It’s “awesome” and an “honor” to be near an unapologetically racist, sexist politician who you do not know personally — and this same person hates your girlfriend?
I really want to know what in the world has turned so many white men who were in opposition to him to suddenly become such devout fans. What is in his elixir that makes random (previously anti-racist) white men become his cheerleaders? How did men like Gen. Mark Milley and Gov. Tim Walz avoid the elixir? And when did Travis Kelce become a Trumper?
