Joe Biden delivers most powerful speech of his presidency
Highlights from the 2024 DNC: VP Kamala Harris greets him onstage to say "I love you so much. Honestly."
There’s nothing I can really write that’ll match the heartfelt emotions I had while watching President Joe Biden discussing women’s rights and Roe v. Wade, doubling down on his nomination for Judge Ketanji Jackson as the newest Supreme Court Judge, scoffing at the “bile” from white supremacists who “didn’t even bother to wear their hoods,” reminding voters of his $16 billion support of HBCUs, admitting pro-Palestinian/anti-war protesters “have a point” and that there have been many deaths of innocent people in the Israel-Palestine War, recalling the craziness of Donald Trump’s entire four years, reminding attendees that the illegal border crossings decreased 50% since his executive order, and more.
The only thing that topped his speech was VP Kamala Harris meeting him onstage to hug him and (from me reading lips) say, “I love you so much. Honestly.”
What a team.
Watch and enjoy!
Also, this is the first time I’ve ever heard his daughter Ashley Biden — a Philadelphia social worker who supports formerly incarcerated women “as they heal from past trauma and they reclaim their lives” — speak, and she was dynamite too. The humanitarian apple doesn’t fall too far from the family tree.
What a legendary way to endorse VP Kamala Harris and leave the White House (in five months) on an incredible note. I enjoyed their speeches so much that I watched them twice!
