U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett talks foreign affairs on 'Hollywood Unlocked'
The licensed attorney and House representative from Texas can simplify politics as superbly as she checks Marjorie Taylor Greene
I don’t know if non-Texans knew who U.S. House Rep. Jasmine Crockett was before she responded to Marjorie Taylor Greene’s bullying. If “I Ain’t the One” was a person, it would be Crockett. Those who did not know her before definitely know her now. But I’ve been quietly watching her interviews over the past year, and the attorney/politician does an excellent job of explaining issues so the average person doesn’t just “hear” them; they understand them.
I also don’t know if people regard Jason Lee for anything but gossip and being inexplicably snippy to Jennifer Hudson and Tamron Hall. I definitely would lean my “fandom” more toward Crockett than Lee, but there’s one thing he does an excellent job at more than almost any other popular Gen X/Millennial podcaster (excluding “The Pivot” podcast trio). He knows when to lean into the gossip and foolishness and when to ask real questions. And he can pull info out of interviewees who are notoriously flighty or guarded. Mean as he can be (to some black women), he is an impressive interviewer to all.

For me, it was a splendid decision to find out Crockett agreed to be interviewed by him. While I recommend watching the entire 1 hour, 27 minute conversation, here are three standout moments that don’t involve laughing hysterically or shopping for “Bleach Blonde, Bad Built, Butch Body” apparel from The Clapback Collection.

These are just a few highlights. Click here to watch the entire interview. There are as many fireworks during their discussion as there will be tonight.
